A little motion. A whole new possibility. Welcome to the Joint beta.

Terms of Use

Last updated: September 17, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Joint, including the Joint website, web application, 2D rigging and animation tools, cloud project storage, and related features and services (collectively, the “Service”).

Joint is operated by [LEGAL NAME / BUSINESS NAME], located in Israel (“Joint,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms under the laws applicable to you.

If you use Joint on behalf of a company, studio, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

Additional requirements may apply to minors depending on applicable law.

2. Your Account

Certain features require a Joint account.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate account information
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Maintain control over access to your account
  • Promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access

You may not:

  • Access another user's account without authorization
  • Share or transfer an account in a way that circumvents applicable limits
  • Impersonate another person or organization
  • Create accounts to evade restrictions, suspensions, or usage limits

You are responsible for activity performed through your account to the extent permitted by applicable law.

3. License to Use Joint

Subject to these Terms, Joint grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Service for its intended purposes.

This does not transfer ownership of Joint or its software to you.

Unless expressly permitted by us or applicable law, you may not:

  • Copy or redistribute substantial portions of the Service
  • Sell, sublicense, rent, or commercially provide access to Joint itself
  • Circumvent technical restrictions or plan limitations
  • Attempt unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with the security or operation of the Service
  • Use automated methods to overload, scrape, or abuse the Service
  • Reverse engineer protected portions of the Service except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law
  • Use the Service to develop or operate malicious software or services

These restrictions do not prevent you from using content and animations you legitimately create through Joint according to your applicable plan.

4. Your Content

User Content” means artwork, images, PSD files, project files, character designs, animations, rigs, exports, and other materials that you upload, create, store, or process using Joint.

You Keep Your Ownership

As between you and Joint, you retain your rights in your User Content.

Using Joint does not transfer ownership of your artwork or projects to us.

Permission Needed to Operate Joint

You grant Joint a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, copy, process, transform, display, transmit, and otherwise handle your User Content only as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide the Service
  • Save and synchronize projects
  • Process imported files
  • Generate rigs and animations
  • Generate previews and thumbnails
  • Perform exports
  • Provide features you request
  • Maintain security, backups, and recovery systems
  • Comply with applicable law

This license exists only to allow us and our service providers to operate the Service and does not give us ownership of your User Content.

Your Responsibility for Content

You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to upload and process your User Content.

You must not upload or use content that unlawfully infringes another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.

5. Generated Rigs, Animations, and Outputs

Joint may automatically or procedurally generate or assist with:

  • Bones and joints
  • Character rigs
  • Meshes or deformation data
  • Animation keyframes
  • Motion
  • Poses
  • Animation curves
  • Exports
  • Other generated outputs

Subject to these Terms and your applicable plan, Joint does not claim ownership over outputs generated specifically from your User Content for your use.

You are responsible for reviewing generated outputs before using, publishing, distributing, selling, or incorporating them into another product.

Automatic systems may produce inaccurate, unexpected, technically incorrect, or unsuitable results.

Joint does not guarantee that automatically generated rigs, animations, or other outputs will be error-free or suitable for a particular production environment.

6. AI and Automated Features

Joint may provide automated or AI-assisted features, including future integrations with AI providers, ChatGPT, MCP-compatible tools, or other third-party services.

AI-assisted outputs may:

  • Contain errors
  • Require manual correction
  • Produce unexpected results
  • Differ between requests
  • Be unsuitable for a particular purpose

You remain responsible for reviewing and approving outputs before relying on them.

Where an optional third-party integration requires transmitting selected User Content to another provider, such processing will occur as necessary to perform the action you request and will be subject to applicable privacy disclosures and, where relevant, the third party's terms.

Joint does not guarantee that third-party AI services will remain available.

7. Commercial Use

Commercial-use rights may depend on your Joint plan.

Where your plan includes commercial use, you may generally use your own eligible Joint-created rigs, animations, and exports in commercial projects, games, applications, videos, advertisements, client work, and other productions.

You remain responsible for ensuring that:

  • You own or have permission to use the underlying artwork and other source materials
  • Your project complies with applicable law
  • Any third-party assets are used according to their licenses
  • Your use does not violate another person's rights

Commercial-use permission from Joint does not grant rights to third-party content that you do not otherwise have permission to use.

Plan-specific commercial-use restrictions will be displayed as part of the applicable plan.

8. Imported Files and PSD Content

Joint may allow you to import PSD files, images, and other supported formats.

Import functionality may not reproduce every feature of the original file format perfectly.

Unsupported effects, masks, blend modes, fonts, smart objects, adjustment layers, metadata, or other format-specific features may be modified, flattened, ignored, or unsupported.

You are responsible for retaining original copies of important source files.

9. Cloud Projects and Storage

Joint may provide cloud storage for projects and related files.

Storage capacity and retention may depend on your account or plan.

You should maintain independent backups of important work.

Joint cloud storage is not intended to serve as your sole archival or backup system.

We may impose reasonable limits relating to:

  • Storage
  • File sizes
  • Projects
  • Bandwidth
  • Exports
  • Processing
  • Automated operations
  • Other resource-intensive functionality

Where practical, applicable limits will be communicated through the Service.

10. Local Storage and Recovery

Joint may temporarily store project state, recovery copies, preferences, or other application information in your browser or device.

This information may remain on the device after you sign out.

If you use Joint on a shared or public device, you are responsible for taking appropriate steps to remove locally stored information.

Browser storage may be deleted by your browser, device, operating system, or other software, and Joint does not guarantee recovery of locally stored information.

11. Beta Service

Joint is currently offered in Beta.

During Beta:

  • Features may change
  • Features may be added or removed
  • Interfaces may change
  • Project formats may evolve
  • Bugs may occur
  • Compatibility may change
  • Usage limits may change
  • Service interruptions may occur

Beta access does not guarantee that a feature will remain available in the final product.

Free access to functionality during Beta does not create a right to receive that functionality for free after Beta.

Features that later become part of a paid plan may have been available without charge during Beta.

You should maintain backups of important projects while using the Beta Service.

12. Plans and Usage Limits

Joint may offer different plans with different features, storage capacities, usage limits, export rights, and commercial-use permissions.

Current plans may include Free, Pro, Studio, or other plans.

Plan names, functionality, limits, and availability may change over time.

Where a material change affects an existing paid subscription, we will provide notice where required by applicable law.

You may not intentionally circumvent usage limits, quotas, plan restrictions, or technical enforcement mechanisms.

13. Paid Services

Joint may introduce paid subscriptions in the future.

When payments become available, the applicable checkout process will disclose relevant information before purchase, including as applicable:

  • Price
  • Currency
  • Billing interval
  • Taxes
  • Included features
  • Usage limits
  • Renewal terms
  • Cancellation terms

A plan displayed as Coming Soon does not constitute an offer, purchase, reservation, or subscription.

Beta access to paid-tier functionality does not guarantee future pricing or continued free access.

14. Subscriptions and Automatic Renewal

If recurring subscriptions are introduced, subscriptions may automatically renew according to the terms presented during purchase unless cancelled.

The checkout process will provide applicable renewal information before you subscribe.

You will be able to cancel according to the cancellation method made available for the applicable payment provider.

Cancellation generally prevents future renewal and does not necessarily terminate access immediately.

Mandatory cancellation and consumer rights under applicable law remain unaffected.

15. Refunds

When paid services are introduced, applicable refund terms will be disclosed during or before purchase.

Refund eligibility may depend on:

  • Applicable law
  • Payment provider rules
  • Subscription type
  • Purchase circumstances

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory refund, cancellation, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Third-Party Services

Joint relies on third-party services for portions of its infrastructure and may integrate additional services over time.

These may include services for:

  • Authentication
  • Cloud storage
  • Databases
  • Hosting
  • Email
  • Analytics
  • Payments
  • AI
  • File processing

The availability of certain Joint functionality may depend on those services.

Joint is not responsible for independent third-party products or services outside our reasonable control.

Your use of optional third-party integrations may also be subject to the relevant provider's terms.

17. Acceptable Use

You may not use Joint to:

  • Violate applicable law
  • Infringe intellectual-property rights
  • Distribute malware
  • Attempt unauthorized access
  • Compromise accounts or infrastructure
  • Circumvent security controls
  • Abuse authentication systems
  • Conduct fraudulent activity
  • Intentionally overload the Service
  • Interfere with other users
  • Scrape or extract protected Service data through unauthorized automated means
  • Circumvent plan or usage restrictions
  • Use the Service in a way reasonably likely to damage Joint or its infrastructure

We may investigate suspected violations and take reasonable action to protect users and the Service.

18. Copyright and Intellectual-Property Complaints

If you believe content processed or made available through Joint infringes your intellectual-property rights, contact us at:

[LEGAL / COPYRIGHT EMAIL]

Your notice should include sufficient information for us to identify the relevant material and understand the basis of your claim.

We may remove or restrict content where appropriate or legally required.

Repeated infringement may result in account restrictions or termination where appropriate.

19. Feedback

If you voluntarily provide suggestions, ideas, bug reports, feature requests, or other feedback about Joint, you allow us to use that feedback to develop and improve the Service without obligation to compensate you.

This does not grant us ownership of your User Content or projects.

20. Changes to the Service

We may modify, improve, replace, suspend, or discontinue features of Joint.

Where reasonably possible, we will try to avoid unnecessary disruption to stored projects.

For significant changes affecting paid users, we will provide notice where required by applicable law.

We do not guarantee permanent availability of any specific feature, integration, file format, or third-party service.

21. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Joint at any time.

Where supported, you may request or initiate account deletion.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of:

  • Material violation of these Terms
  • Fraud or abuse
  • Security threats
  • Unauthorized access
  • Legal requirements
  • Serious or repeated misuse
  • Non-payment of applicable fees when paid services are enabled

Where reasonable and legally appropriate, we may provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Where practical, users whose accounts are being terminated may be given an opportunity to export their projects unless doing so would create security, legal, or technical risks.

22. Effect of Account Termination

When an account is deleted or terminated, access to associated cloud projects may be lost.

You should export any content you wish to retain before deleting your account.

Certain information may remain temporarily in backups or may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Our Privacy Policy provides additional information regarding data retention.

23. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Joint may occasionally be unavailable because of:

  • Maintenance
  • Updates
  • Technical failures
  • Infrastructure-provider outages
  • Security incidents
  • Events outside our reasonable control

We may perform maintenance or make changes necessary to protect or improve the Service.

24. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Joint is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will always be available
  • Every feature will be error-free
  • Every imported file will be reproduced perfectly
  • Automatically generated rigs or animations will require no correction
  • Project data can always be recovered
  • Joint will meet every particular professional or technical requirement

Nothing in this section excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

25. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Joint and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from use of or inability to use the Service, including loss of profits, business opportunities, or data, where such exclusions are legally permitted.

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of important projects.

For paid services, any aggregate monetary liability limitation should be stated here according to applicable law and the final commercial structure of Joint.

[FINAL LIABILITY CAP TO BE REVIEWED BEFORE PAID LAUNCH]

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

26. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, if you use Joint on behalf of a business or for commercial purposes, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Joint and its operator from third-party claims arising from:

  • User Content you upload
  • Your infringement of third-party rights
  • Your unlawful use of the Service
  • Your material violation of these Terms

This section does not apply where prohibited by applicable consumer law.

27. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled in connection with Joint.

The Privacy Policy forms an important part of your relationship with the Service and should be read together with these Terms.

28. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Joint evolves.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date.

For material changes, we may provide additional notice where appropriate or required by law.

If applicable law requires your consent to a particular change, we will request it.

Continued use after an effective change may constitute acceptance where permitted by applicable law.

29. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of:

[GOVERNING LAW / JURISDICTION]

Any jurisdiction or dispute-resolution provision must remain subject to mandatory consumer protections and other rights that apply regardless of contractual choice of law.

Before publishing this section, Joint's operator should select the appropriate governing law and forum based on its legal entity, location, and target markets.

30. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.

31. No Waiver

Failure to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce it later.

32. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented for specific features or purchases, constitute the agreement between you and Joint regarding use of the Service.
